Beyond the classroom, departmental societies constitute an important aspect of student activity. The objective of such societies can be multifaceted. On one hand, it acts as a platform for dissemination of knowledge through various events, activities, workshops, and discussions, while on the hand it brings together students from multiple disciplines to work together for a common cause. It helps students develop interpersonal and leadership skills. Department of Design facilitates such activities, and through the student advisor, they are encouraged to add more interesting and exciting societies to the existing list.
