Design as an activity is considered fundamental to human beings. Its primary objective is to conceive and create products (2D and 3D products) that satisfy human needs and wants. It is a transdisciplinary field of study that enables students to see the bigger picture by transforming disciplinary boundaries.
In recent years, Design has become ubiquitous, and its knowledge is expected to provide students with a much broader perspective of 21st Century problems. Currently, the department offers Minor in Design broadly focusing on Visual Communication Design (2D products) and Product Design/Industrial Design (3D products).
